Selangor Darul Ehsan

The Golden Gates

Selangor is the most developed state in Malaysia, housing the largest port and airport, institutes of higher education, massive industrial output and a matured infrastructure.

Take Note : Kuala Lumpur is located within the boundaries of Selangor known as the Federal Territory. The Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) is in Sepang, Selangor about 50 km from the City of Kuala Lumpur.
The State of Selangor itself does not really have a city and when anyone mentions a city in the State of Selangor, they actually mean Kuala Lumpur. The State Capital of Selangor is Shah Alam, where the Sultan of Selangor resides. Many industries are located in the Klang Valley which stretches from Kuala Lumpur to the Port Klang in the west. Between K.L. and Klang are the suburban towns of Petaling Jaya, Subang Jaya and Shah Alam.
As most industries are in the Klang Valley, business visitors will find that it is sometimes more convenient to stay in one of the international hotels in Petaling Jaya or Subang. Hotel chains like Hilton, Hyatt, Holiday Inn and the Sheraton are all represented here. For a start, there is no need to go through the heavy traffic to a meeting outside the city.
Make booking at Selangor Hotel here.

Shopping in Selangor
