State MosqueThe Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah mosque is one of the most beautiful buildings in Malaysia. The mosque's minarets are the tallest in the world and its huge blue dome is the largest of its kind. The overall architecture integrates ethnic Malay design elements. |

Batu CavesOne of the most interesting places to visit while in Selangor is the Batu Caves. Located only 13 km from Kuala Lumpur's central district, one has to climb a steep flight of 272 steps to reach the Temple Caves featuring ornate Hindu shrines. During the Thaipusam festival, as many as 100,000 devotees will climb the 272 steps to celebrate at the Temple caves.

Morib BeachKlang Valley's nearest seaside resort is Morib Beach which is being transformed into a major holiday retreat. The wide shallow beach is a family favorite for outings. Both ends of the beach blend into mangrove areas. Other attractions include a mini zoo, an aviary and a golf course. Food stalls are plentiful. |
