Cameron Highlands

Cameron Highlands is one of Malaysia's premier hill resorts. Much of the resorts appeal lies in the neat sprawling tea plantations which date back to 1929, as well as the terraced flower gardens, strawberry farms, orchards and vegetable gardens. Visitors will find nature-based activities of all sorts to suit everyone's mood and level of fitness. The best tourist amenities are sited in or around Tanah Rata and Brinchang. Here visitors will be able to jungle trek, where 14 different trails of varying lengths and degrees of difficulty. The town of Brinchang is the centre of the highlands 'green products'.

Tasik Chini

Tasik Cini has inspired expeditions because of its many legends. A giant serpent, Naga Seri Gunum, Malaysia's equivalent of Scotland's Loch Ness Monster, is said to reside in the Lake. Archaeologists have seached for the ancient Khmer city believed to be submerged in the water. The best time to visit is between June and September when the lake is covered with pretty pink and white lotus flowers.


Fraser's Hill

Fraser's Hill is a little piece of tranquil English countryside. Tudorstyle grey granite bungalows, remnants of colonial Malaya, are lodged on the hill amid pretty gardens. An excellent place to while away a quiet weekend, Fraser's Hill has peaceful nature trails, and horseback riding and sports facilities.

Genting Highlands

Cherating Beach

This wonderful beach located 47 kilometres north of Kuantan is Asia's first Club Mediterranee. Teluk Cempedak

Teluk Cempedak or Teluk Chempedak (literally : Jackfruit Bay) is a famous beach in Kuantan, Pahang, Malaysia. Teluk Cempedak is located 5 kilometres east from the town centre in Kuantan and is situated in close proximity to the Royal Pahang Golf Club. The white sandy beach and the beautiful casuarinas and pine trees line the coast, with some rocky promontories facing the incessant waves of the South China Sea. All these combined to make the beach serene and at the same time delightful. You can see the boats of the fishermen at sea during the day, and the twinkling lights of their boats at night. The fishing village of Tanjung Api and Beserah is only about 5 km away on either side of Teluk Chempedak.


How to get here?

To get to Kuantan, international visitors can fly direct or transit from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA).

On the other hand, those travelling from other destinations in Peninsular Malaysia can easily take a taxi or bus, as well as rent their own cars.

By Bus & Taxi


International visitor can fly in via Kuala Lumpur, or Kota Kinabalu and Kuching in East Malaysia, to Sultan Ismail International Airport Johor Bahru. The airport also links Johor Bahru to Bayan Lepas International Airport in Penang.


By Railway


Johor Bahru is accessible via the North-South Expressway from the north passing through major
town including the capital city Kuala Lumpur.


By Air


Travel by air is possible via Malaysian Airlines (MAS) or the budget people mover Air Asia Airlines. There are flights practically each day between Kuala Lumpur International Airport and Sultan Ahmad Shah Airport in Kuantan. The duration is less than 45 minutes.

MAS offers a more luxurious and comfortable ride but Air Asia has much cheaper rates along with basic trimmings on the plane.

Flights between KLIA and Kuantan may be delayed or turned back due to bad weather. This may happen during the rainy seasons approaching the end of the year.
