Name
Cameron Highlands, named after Sir William Cameron, a British colonial surveyor, is one of Malaysia’s most extensive hill stations. Sir Cameron mapped the area in 1885, and henceforth the region took on his name.

Cameron Highlands is perched at elevations ranging from 1,100 meters to 1,600 meters above sea level. Located in the state of Pahang, it sits about 200 kilometers north of Kuala Lumpur and near the border of Perak. During the British colonial period, Cameron Highlands became a favorite retreat due to its cooler climate, which was reminiscent of English summers.
